I began smoking at the age of 19 and over the years, I felt it was taking over my life more and more. Over a period of 36 years, I had worked up to a full pack a day. I tried numerous things to help me stop such as the gum, patch and Chantex. Chantex did help somewhat but with no lasting effect. The gum and patch did not work at all. I knew I had to quit, not only for my own health, but for my daughter as well. I was watching television one night when a commercial came on saying how effective hypnosis was for helping people stop permanently. Then I saw an article in the paper about Lisa, who was a local hypnotherapist, so I decided to call her and find out more. Lisa offered a free consultation to meet with her and find out if hypnosis might be helpful for me in my efforts to quit. There was no obligation, so I set the appointment and met with her for an hour. I felt very comfortable with her and confident in her experience and success with helping people like me to stop smoking, so I signed up for the type of session she recommended. By 2-3 weeks in to seeing Lisa, I began noticing a big change. Not only did I feel calmer, I felt more in control. After using her coaching and hypnosis methods, I actually began to believe this terrible habit would finally fall away for good. I felt out of control prior to seeing her but now I feel in complete and total control of all aspects of my life! I unfortunately began smoking when I was just 15 years old and it stayed with me for thirty years.I felt out of control where my smoking was concerned. I tried quitting “cold turkey” once, years ago, without success. I finally decided I wanted that part of my life back, the part where I could breathe easier. I truly believe there are parts of our minds that can be opened and accessed. I was willing to believe that the subconscious could be retrained. It was then I decided to try hypnosis and set my first consultation with Lisa. She was very reassuring that this was not impossible. It was something she believed could be accomplished if I followed her instructions. Lisa used hypnosis combined with EFT (meridian tapping) and it worked great! Within one week, I learned things that definitely had me changing certain habits and my way of thinking. I was committed to following her instructions and I’m glad I did. I’ve been smoke-free for 4 months without withdrawals, cravings or urges and intend on continuing to do so. One thing that was very helpful in allowing me to reinforce this change were the CD’s Lisa records of each session and allows you to take home. I listen and – it just happens. Now I can think of smoking or even smell it and say, “I just don’t need it in my life anymore.” Although I might desire one on occasion, it seems more of an old memory. At the age of 68, smoking 3 packs of cigarettes a day (starting on my 18th birthday), I decided to quit smoking. Miss Lisa really helped me. I smoked for about 40 years. I tried to cut back on my own but didn’t have much success. I was smoking less right after my first session with Lisa. I know there is no such thing as a “magic bullet,” but our last session and the CD you made me really set me straight and got me back on track. ’ve been a non-smoker for over 4 months thanks to Lisa. I quit smoking right after my first session. I was surprised and pleased at how quickly and easily it worked. I don’t cough anymore. I smell differently, and I feel better. I had tried stopping twice with the patch and twice just going “cold turkey.” Each time it was so stressful. With hypnosis it was different. I don’t feel any stress about it. I don’t feel like I’m being punished. This is easier on a daily basis than I ever imagined it would be. My friends and family are very happy I have quit. I find myself smiling when I see other people smoking, thinking “that was me.” I’m much happier this way. I had to clean out my bathroom (that’s the only room I smoked in at my house because of my kids). It smells a whole lot better now! I’m able to be around smokers and it’s okay. At first, I was afraid that it was going to be tough not to smoke around them, but it wasn’t bad, and each time it got easier. It feels so great to have total control over it now. I have much more confidence in myself and that I will remain a non-smoker, especially now that so much time has passed and I feel so much healthier. I am happy to report that I have been tobacco-free since our last session on May 8, 2007. I was a smoker for over forty years and now I’ve been a non-smoker for a year. I didn’t like what other people thought of me when I smoked, so it became an isolating habit. I had tried many over-the-counter things to stop smoking, like the gum, etc., but they didn’t last. Even though it took a few hypnosis sessions and a few weeks to quit, I did notice changes immediately–I was definitely smoking less. Listening to my personalized hypnosis CDs was very calming. Now I’m healthier, things taste better, and my clothes don’t smell! I’m very confident that I won’t go back to smoking. I would tell everyone to just try it, but most important of all, only you can decide to do this–and you must want to do it for yourself.

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Debra Gorham and I am Lisa Smith’s assistant. I recently allowed Lisa to help me with my smoking. I NEVER thought I would ever be able to quit after 25+ years of smoking. She was able to perform a true miracle with me and I just couldn’t help but share my story with you. With all the “scams” you run across now days, I (perhaps like you) had about given up that I would ever be able to just walk away from smoking. My children had begged me for years to try, and I did but with no success. Time after time I would get frustrated until I finally gave up even trying. Lisa explained the process to me (yes, though I am her assistant, with this I was just another client). It can be scary when you think of paying for something that can’t be guaranteed, but the free consultation that Lisa offers helps determine if you are likely to be successful. However, to be frank, the price of cigarettes is only going to go up and up, and I knew I would no longer be able to afford such a habit financially, as well as the toll it had begun to take on my health. I arrived for the first session, very leery and a total skeptic! I smoked one to settle my nerves before arriving at her office. We went through the session. My brand had gone up at that time (it’s even more now) to $54 per carton and this didn’t include the extra 8 packs I would buy separately to “tied me over” at $5.94 per pack! I save about $200 per month now (going by what mine were even BEFORE the hike; it’s probably much more now). You don’t just save money, you save your quality of life! I’m now able to take hikes with my kids, I’ve climbed Jockey’s Ridge, The Wright Brothers Memorial and gone on photo hikes with my daughter – 5 miles without getting winded. Lisa is truly worth it! March 29 marked three months since I quit smoking! I continue to listen to my hypnosis processes almost every day, and have signed up with a trainer at the gym three times per week. So far I have lost 6 lbs.! I feel confident, motivated, and happy with the decisions I am making to take care of myself. Now that I have done so much of the “inner work,” I feel like I have the energy and resources to devote to the weight loss piece. Most of all, I feel much more secure and comfortable in my own skin. All aspects of my psychological well-being have improved — my self-esteem, self-confidence, self-worth. I feel like the changes that have occurred are lasting. I truly feel like a completely different person. Thank you again, Lisa. I know none of this would have happened without my time with you and all the wisdom and resources you shared. It was really the best thing I could have done for myself, and I am so thrilled with the person I am becoming.
